Fourth of July Activities in the Greater Lafayette Area

    Let freedom ring on this most special of days, the day that the Founding Fathers declared independence from Great Britain. There are many ways to celebrate our freedom, all over Acadiana. Here are a list of some fun activities.

    Downtown Lafayette – Uncle Sam’s Jam

    Where: Parc International

    When: 5pm to 10pm (rain or shine!) , July 3rd

    Admission: FREE – The event remains free to the public by selling food and drink

    New Iberia – 4th of July Parade

    What: Fourth of July parade followed by Honor Guard ceremony along with harmony of patriotic music.

    Where: Historic Downtown New Iberia/Bouligny Plaza Main Street

    When: July 4th, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm

    Admission: Free!

    Youngsville – Fireworks at the Pond

    What: Family Fun with face painting, pony rides, stilt walker, remote control boat demonstrations, kayak demonstrations and MORE!

    When: July 3rd, 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm

    Where: Sugar Mill Pond, 220 Prescott Blvd., Youngsville

    Admission: Free! Food and drinks available for purchase, no ice chests. Free parking available at AES with trolley rides to the event.

    Broussard – Broussard Independence Festival 

    What: Family Fun, Live music, and fireworks!

    When: July 4th, 5:30 pm

    Where: Broussard Sports Complex at St Julien Park

    Admission: Free! Food and drinks available for purchase, no ice chests
