Hurricane Preparedness

    The hurricane season has officially started and will last until November 30th. The peak of the hurricane season, the most active part of the season, is between mid-August and late October. The following is a list of actions you can take to be more prepared for the hurricane season:

    1. Trim or remove damages trees. Heavy winds can cause trees and branches to fall
    2. Secure or reinforce the roof, windows, garage doors, and exterior doors
    3. Clean and secure rain gutters and downspouts to help prevent water damage
    4. Create an evacuation plan
